Knight Insurance Enhances Underwriting Team

Knight Insurance Group, is pleased to welcome back Vance Ownbey as its Managing Director overseeing Programs, Underwriting, New Business and Product Development. Mr. Ownbey previously served as CFO, CTO, Treasurer and Managing Director at Knight. He most recently also held several other executive level positions with other entities including CEO, Managing Director and President.

Mr. Ownbey provided strategic planning and underwriting expertise for new business lines and programs at Knight in the past, as well as being responsible for due diligence and auditing of potential partners while supporting the company’s marketing presence at conferences, trade shows and industry events. He commented, “I am excited to return to Knight and help lead the rebuilding of the Knight Insurance Group. The Hankey Group of Companies, under Don Hankey’s leadership, is stronger than ever and experiencing continued growth and profitability across the group of companies.
