AM Best Upgrades Issuer Credit Rating of KnightBrook Insurance Company; Affirms Credit Ratings of Subsidiaries

OLDWICK, N.J.–AM Best has upgraded the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating (Long-Term ICR) to “bbb+” from “bbb” and affirmed the Financial Credit Rating (FSR) of B++ (Good) of KnightBrook Insurance Company (KnightBrook) (Wilmington, DE). The outlook of the FSR has been revised to stable from negative, while the outlook of the Long-Term ICR remains negative. Concurrently, AM Best has affirmed the FSR of B++ (Good) and the Long-Term ICRs of “bbb+” of Knight Insurance Company Ltd. (Knight Insurance) (Cayman Islands) and its reinsured U.S. insurance company subsidiary, Knight Specialty Insurance Company (Wilmington, DE). The outlook of the FSR is stable, while the outlook of the Long-Term ICRs is negative. These companies collectively are referred to as Knight
